About Daisy Ring Bus
The Daisy Ring Bus CIC has now officially launched — a community-run service keeping a much-loved Island lifeline on the road for cancer patients travelling to Southampton for vital hospital treatment.
For over 20 years, the Daisy Bus has provided more than transport — it has been a friendly face and a small piece of comfort during an incredibly difficult time.
When previous funding ended, our community, led by Michèle Le Quesne Newton, came together to protect this essential service. Thanks to your generosity, the Daisy Ring Bus Community Interest Company (CIC) was formed to secure its future. With the funds raised so far, we ensured the service continued without interruption — with the kind support of Xelabus — until we were able to secure our own vehicle. We’re proud to share that the new Daisy Ring Bus is now on the road, helping Islanders reach their treatment.
Our ethos is simple: to make one part of every cancer patient’s journey a little easier. Every journey matters — and your support helps us provide a warm, friendly, and reassuring service where nothing is too much trouble.
Your kind donations help us keep the bus running, support our volunteer drivers, and cover vital costs such as fuel and maintenance — ensuring this lifeline continues for those who need it most.
